The Fleurieu Peninsula’s beloved coastal gem, Victor Harbor, has once again captured the spotlight, earning the prestigious title of South Australia’s Top Tourism Town for 2024.

The announcement was made during a ceremony at Parliament House in Canberra yesterday, as part of the Australia’s Top Tourism Town Awards.

The recognition reaffirms the South Coast city’s status as a standout destination in the region. The vibrant town 80km from Adelaide is known for its breathtaking coastal landscapes and wildlife, the iconic horse-drawn tram and Granite Island.

The South Australian Tourism Industry Council lauded Victor Harbor for its ability to forge a deep personal connection with visitors, offering an experience that blends rejuvenation, adventure, and reflection.

This latest accolade follows Victor Harbor’s impressive double win in the 2023 SA Top Tourism Town Awards, where it claimed both the Top Tourism Town and People’s Choice awards.

Other SA regional towns recognised at this week’s national awards were Burra which took out both the 2024 Tiny Tourism Town Award and the People’s Choice Award, while Coober Pedy received the title of 2024 Small Tourism Town.
