A new German cafe and restaurant could be set up in the new-look Goolwa Wharf Shed, with the public encouraged to have their say on the proposal.
‘Imbus on the Elbow’ has applied to lease the commercial portion of the re-developed Goolwa Wharf Precinct for 15 years, prompting the Alexandrina Council to open it for consultation.
It will offer all-day cafe options, alcohol service and dinner offerings three nights a week, with the prospective owners stating they want to prioritise local produce.
Council will receive a commercial rent return, and the tenant will pay for the fit-out of the space.
The survey is available here and will close on Friday.
