The volunteer-run Golf Club in Nairne in the Adelaide Hills has won a grant in the State Government’s Thriving Regions Fund.
The organisation is one of 10 community groups across regional SA to receive a share of $1.2 million to bring their project to life.
The Clubroom and surrounds will undergo an upgrade thanks to the $37,275 investment.
The Prospect Hill Community Hall and War Memorial will be able to invest in rainwater tanks thanks to a $48,656 investment, and the Echunga Memorial Institute can upgrade their rainwater catchment with $25,180 in support.
Primary Industries Minister Clare Scriven says it’s an important program for grassroot initiatives.
“This program provides a fantastic opportunity for community groups to bring their ideas to life with projects that help improve quality of life, boost morale and build resilience in our regions,” Scriven said.
