The Eagles posted just 147 last week, however bowled superbly to get the in-form Goolwa to 9/91, before a last-wicket stand between Kingsley Vincent and Nicholas Ralph made things nervy as Vincent fell with just seven runs to go.

In other matches, the statement win of the round came from Yankalilla, who chased down 215 easily to win by eight wickets against Myponga-Sellicks, thanks to 94 from opener Aaron Smith.

ALEXANDRA AND EASTERN HILLS CRICKET ASSOCIATION (full scorecards here)

Langhorne Creek has knocked Hahndorf off the top of the Alexandra and Eastern Hills Cricket Association table on Saturday, as part of Round Six action.

The Tigers posted 9/241 first up, before taking regular wickets to hold Hahndorf to 207 all out in response.

The Redcaps did what was required, winning by 19 runs against last-placed Kangarilla, and benefited from two upsets as Aldgate beat Stirling and Meadows cruised past Scott Creek-Ironbank.
