The Murraylands’ most outstanding businesses will be celebrated at a new awards night in June – and you can decide who wins.
Nominations open today for the 2025 Murraylands Business Awards, presented by Murray Bridge News in partnership with 5MU and Power FM.
Your votes will decide who scores an invite to the gala dinner on the 20th of June, and who takes home the coveted star sticker for their shop window.
The Murraylands Business Awards will be the first of their kind in the region since the early 2010s, when annual Bunyip Awards were last presented by the former Murray Bridge Business and Tourism
The winners in each of 10 categories will also get free promotion for their business on our station, online and on Murray Bridge News’ screen network over the next 12 months.
So it’s up to you to decide: who makes the best coffee in our region? Where is the best gym, which is your favourite shop, and who offers the best customer service? Nominate a business via this survey link.

- Best customer service
- Best gym, personal trainer or fitness business
- Best hair or beauty business: For the best hairdresser, barber, nail or beauty salon, tattoo parlour or related business, presented by Raptcha’u
- Best in-home care, help or support: In the areas of aged or disability care, home support or related industries, presented by Resthaven
- Best new business: For a business which has launched, opened a shopfront or moved into a new community since January 1, 2024, presented by Bowhill Engineering
- Best restaurant: For the best food and eat-in experience
- Best retailer: Regardless of industry or size
- Best takeaway: By a chip shop, bakery, food truck or restaurant
- Best tradies: For a construction, electrical, plumbing or other trade-related business, presented by CW Products
You have until the 2nd of May to nominate your favourite business in each category.
Nominate by filling in an online form at the button above or replying to any upcoming social media posts about the awards from Murray Bridge News, Radio 5MU or Power FM SA.
The top 3-5 nominees in each category will be named as finalists during May, and will be invited to bring a posse to the awards night on Friday the 20th of June.
Voting for a winner will be online only, with measures in place to ensure no-one can vote more than once.
Winners will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony at the Bridgeport Hotel, in Murray Bridge, on the evening of Friday the 20th of June. Tickets to the awards night are available now at events.humanitix.com.
