Design images show Drakes on the signs, prompting media outlets to surmise they would be moving in.

Director of Drakes, JP Drake told ARN’s Adam and Jennie this morning that the retailer is not confirmed at this stage, but they are considering being a part of it.

“There is a site there that we are showing interest in. We’d love that site to be larger, we like a bigger format store and with a bigger format store we can get more of the cool stuff that we do… so we are trying to get more land,” JP Drake said to Adam and Jennie.

The development application for the shopping precinct proposes landscaping, water tanks, infrastructure, illuminated pylon signs and the removal of some gum trees.

A public consultation is open on the Plan SA website til the 21st of March.
