The OTR Supersprint at Tailem Bend has recorded its biggest crowd since its inaugural event in 2018.
More than 41 thousand people turned up over the weekend to watch the supercars and check out the music at the revamped ‘Town Square’, adding more than 3,500 people onto last year’s attendance.
Interstate visitor numbers also doubled, in a huge win for the region’s tourism.
The figures highlight a strong first week for the new 10-year partnership between Shell V-Power and the Motorsport Park.
Managing Director Sam Shahin says his venue is putting South Australia on the world motorsport map.
“This is a proud event and we are thrilled that the public continues to support it alongside the year round activity at our venue,” Mr Shahin said.
“I would like to thank South Australian’s and interstate travelers for backing our event and we hope you enjoyed the stellar conditions.”
