It is hoped that tweaks to the second round of River Revival travel vouchers will see more people use them.
In the first round of the initiative, aimed to help businesses recovering from River Murray flooding, 37% of the 4,000 vouchers allocated were not used, even though there was enormous demand with 1,200 people entering the ballot.
In response to feedback, any unused vouchers in the next round will be cancelled and re-issued in a “second chance” draw.
There will also be a wider range of vouchers available, including a $750 voucher for use on Houseboats and accommodation up to the value of $200.
Registrations open Monday 19 June, with the draw to be held Thursday 22 June.
Operators in the Riverland and Murray River, Lakes, and Coorong regions are encouraged to be a part of the scheme by submitting Expressions of Interest between this Thursday 1 June and next Tuesday 6 June.
